Novella Center for Entrepreneurship (“Novella Center”) was founded on a simple but powerful idea: Entrepreneurship, and specifically Conscious Capitalism, can be a pathway to economic mobility, community resilience, prosperity and joy. We believe talent, intelligence and potential are equally present in all corners of our society, and in people of every background; access and opportunity are not. Across America, entire cities once brimming with industrial vitality have been left behind by the evolving economy. Baltimore, Trenton, and communities like them possess the same entrepreneurial spirit that built America’s prosperity — but too often, that potential remains untapped. Over the past 12 years, our Conscious Venture Lab programs have supported more than 200 early-stage companies that have raised over $220 million in funding, creating over 600 jobs and generating new wealth in communities long excluded from traditional venture ecosystems. We believe that when you invest in people — not just profits — entire communities can come back to life.
