Children's Diabetes Foundation

Mission

The Children's Diabetes Foundation was established by Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Davis in 1977 in Denver, Colorado as an organization dedicated to the support of research in type 1 diabetes and to provide the best possible clinical and educational programs for people with this disease. The Foundation's mission is to raise funds to support programs at the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes where thousands of patients from all over the world currently receive care. In addition, recreational activities are provided for those with diabetes to help increase their ability with chronic illness and live normal lives despite the constraints of the disease.

Vision

To execute the next 50 years of progress in half the time, funding the Barbara Davis Center's ability to cross-train providers, double down on research abilities, and eliminate treatment disparities and affordability barriers to those who battle type 1 diabetes.

1.Grow the capacity of the support programs at the Barbara Davis Center to increase available resources to those in need
2.Promote national awareness and recognition of the Barbara Davis Center to bring support programs to a broader demographic of people and expand our program reach
3.Be innovative and forward looking to optimize tools and processes and enable the organization to drive proactive, efficient, and effective growth
