IHDI is committed to supporting and enhancing the development of all its employees. For example, an individual with responsibilities focused on dog training demonstrated tremendous energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to IHDI through their work and community spirit. Recognizing this, IHDI invested in advancing this individual through supported experiences and guidance. Now, they lead IHDI's outreach efforts, building upon a program that sees IHDI participating in over 30 events and delivering presentations and demonstrations that reach over 2,500 people annually.

Externally facing initiatives aim to raise awareness about the capabilities of service dogs, dispel myths and misconceptions, reduce stigmas, and foster greater understanding and acceptance in the community. Through collaborative endeavors, IHDI has established strong and longstanding partnerships with service dog training programs nationwide, service clubs such as Lions Club International, and renowned advocacy organizations such as Sertoma. Additionally, IHDI operates an active community-based volunteer program.

ADI is the leading authority in the Assistance Dogs industry. It is a worldwide coalition of non-profit organizations dedicated to the highest standards of excellence in raising, training, and placing assistance dogs. ADI accreditation represents a significant achievement for IHDI. It is indicative of IHDI's strong commitment to upholding the highest professional standards of excellence within the Assistance Dogs industry.
Julianne Larsen, ADI Accreditation Accessor, shares, "The IHDI leadership staff are dedicated to ensuring things function at the highest level possible. All of their policies and procedures are being followed as they are represented. International Hearing Dog will be a wonderful addition and asset to ADI. They have an amazing staff that all want to excel at what they do. They clearly care deeply about the dogs they work with and the clients they serve."
