Vision

We see a world where every child in poverty has a champion — someone who loves them and supports them as they overcome adversity. Someone who believes in them, listens to them, and challenges them to persevere. Uplifted by Child Champions, we see children thriving, filled with hope, strong in faith and equipped to make the world better – from the renewal of local communities to the eradication of global poverty.

Goals

1. 1.As an organization, we are committed to leveraging technology to provide more impactful programs for the children we serve, increase the amount of grant dollars we send, create more significant and meaningful experiences for our supporters and sponsors, and ultimately double the number of children we serve from 50,000 to 100,000 over the next five years.
2. 2.At OneChild, we serve children in hard places, and over 60 years, we have learned that the best way to do this is by empowering Child Champions to serve children with excellence. We are investing heavily in our global staff through an initiative called 'Fuel the Facilitator,' providing them with opportunities to become experts in areas like child protection, family engagement, and more.
3. 3.In the last two decades, we have recognized the need to revolutionize the child sponsorship industry. Starting in 2023, we began developing a new model based on the principles of dignity, relationships, listening, local-first, decentralization, and transparency. By 2027 our primary growth will come through this model that is provided for other organizations at cost so that we can help end poverty.
