Vision

Our vision is for all Coloradans living with severe illness to have access to nutritious food that supports their health and well-being. To that end, we compassionately deliver comfort and support through high-quality nutrition services, including medically tailored meals, while also advocating for the principles of “Food is Medicine.”

Goals

1. 1.We advocate for equitable access to health care and nutritious food for individuals living with severe illness in Colorado: 1.Advocate for expanded inclusion of medically tailored meals as a benefit under Federal- and State- regulated / State-funded insurance programs. 2.Position PAH as the lead voice in CO on nutrition and “Food is Medicine” by providing thought-leadership and advocacy.
2. 2.Place nutrition & the principles of “Food is Medicine” at the center of our work: 1. Produce & deliver medically tailored meals with the goal of serving 800K meals/year by 2025. 2.Serve clients in 75% of the Front Range Urban Corridor by 2025. 3. Provide nutritional education and/or counseling to all clients by 2025. 4.Deepen research into impact with at least 3 research & eval studies by 2025.
3. 3.Accomplish our mission with deep, sustained community engagement: 1. Engage a diverse community of volunteers and supporters through opportunities suited to all ages and abilities. 2. Create and participate in civic engagement opportunities that serve the neighborhoods supporting & housing PAH’s work. 3.Est. connections and partnerships with other agencies addressing social determinants of health.
