Mission

DOVE SEEKS TO INCREASE ACCESS TO LIVING KIDNEY DONATION FOR US VETERANS IN NEED.

Vision

NO VETERAN SHOULD DIE WAITING FOR A LIFESAVING KIDNEY TRANSPLANT. DOVE HOPES TO BUILD AN AMPLE REGISTRY OF DONORS WHO ARE WILLING TO STEP UP TO SAVE A VETERANS LIFE THROUGH THE GIFT OF KIDNEY DONATION.

Goals

1.DOVE has made an impact - Saving the lives of 82 Veterans in the past 5 years. There are over 300 Veterans registered with DOVE and approximately 2000 Veterans awaiting transplant in the US. More funding will allow DOVE to expand our staffing to support more Veterans and donors as well as fund outreach initiatives to raise awareness and engage prospective donors.
2.DOVE partners with other nonprofits and organ transplant organization to raise awareness about the dire need to increase deceased and living donor registrations. DOVE is also partnering with the VA healthcare centers as well as the DoD to streamline referrals and support. DOVE has lobbied along with other organizations for improved protections for living donors.
3.DOVE is helping to bring paired exchange programs to the VA transplant centers which will increase the living donor transplant rates.
