    Adaptability Practices
    30 out of 30 points
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year
Ascend Mission Fund experienced an interruption in service at the Ascend Academy due to the isolations required by the COVID-19 pandemic. The interim was used to strengthen program leadership recruitment and training, and additional infrastructure was arranged to support the return to in-school programming. In the immediate days following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, infrastructure was promptly developed to provide humanitarian aid to victims displaced within Ukraine and who were unable to emigrate from the country, either due to health or other physical limitations or the inability to leave because of family members engaged in the defense of the country. Financial networks were established to ensure safe and dependable transfer of funds directly to beneficiaries.
