Learn about the Encompass Rating System: Announcement | FAQ | Release Notes

Charity Navigator provides 501(c)(3) nonprofits with an Encompass Rating when we have available data. Please see the sections below for more information on why this organization is not currently rated.

This organization cannot be evaluated by our Encompass Rating methodology because it files Form 990-N, as allowed by the IRS for charities with less than $50,000 annual revenue.

The lack of a rating for this reason simply means that the organization does not meet our rating criteria. It does not indicate a positive or negative assessment by Charity Navigator.

What is your organization aiming to accomplish?

Bringing families together, and allowing them to spend time with others facing the same challenges, helps to bring healing. Childhood Cancer Community provides meaningful connections to these families through the different programs we offer on an ongoing basis.

What are your strategies for making this happen?

Childhood Cancer Community will continue to look for ways that we can provide connections and services to families facing childhood cancer. Bringing families together on a regular basis allows them to find one another and develop friendships that will last a lifetime. Connections with people going through "like" situations helps to bring healing to all being served.

What are your organization's capabilities for doing this?

We operate with a working board of directors and many trained volunteers. By keeping our administrative costs down, we are able to funnel all of our funds into serving families facing childhood cancer, as well as into funding research.

How will your organization know if you are making progress?

We find that once a family completes its child's treatments, they are willing to start serving others just starting into this journey. If a family felt loved and supported while utilizing our programs, to the extent that they want to get involved when finished, indicates that our services must be valuable to those we are serving.

What have and haven't you accomplished so far?

We are a young organization which was just founded in 2019, but have accomplished much already. We provide hospital visits to newly diagnosed families, run a successful Online Community, host events and monthly Community Nights which are well attended, provide mentorship to those wanting to "give back", and provide resources to families desiring guidance.
