Sfc Virginia

Mission

SFC Virginia is a foster-focused animal rescue dedicated to transforming outcomes for dogs and cats in Virginia’s sheltering system. We partner with rural and underserved shelters across the Commonwealth to provide lifesaving transfer, high-quality medical care, and home-based foster placements while preparing animals for permanent adoption. Through compassionate action and statewide collaboration, we work to strengthen Virginia’s animal welfare system and sustain a 90%+ live release rate statewide.

Vision

We work to make a positive contribution to the overall live release rate in Virginia and toward No-Kill Nation 2025, to maintain Virginia's hard-earned 90% save rate, and to help reimagine animal sheltering with foster homes leading the way.

Goals

2.Growing our foster program is paramount to the number of animals we are able to serve. We have the goal of expanding to 500+ unique foster homes active annually.
3.Our leadership and board are being intentional about re-focusing on development and financial health so that we can continue to grow the rescue and have stability and longevity into the future.
