Taveuni Animal Lovers

Mission

To promote the health of the animals of Fiji, focusing on Taveuni, through a program of spaying animals and education of the people regarding the value of animals, which ultimately will diminish the common practice of selecting all female puppies and kittens and "disposing" them days after birth as their only means of population control.

Vision

To humanely eliminate the omnipresent homeless, suffering stray dogs and feral cats on the island by

Goals

1.To stop the killing (usually via drowning or burying alive) of the female born animals.
2.To educate the people about basic animal husbandry and the importance of having healthy animals.
3.To provide homes for homeless dogs and cats. Our adoption placement program has now been resumed.
