The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: In the wake of Hurricane Helene, we are supporting those most impacted and vulnerable in WNC through rapid response, recovery, and rebuilding. Our rapid response work included insures survivors had access to basic necessities like food, water, health and hygiene items, heat, shelter. Recovery is about trauma care and stability. And rebuilding focuses on home repair and replacements.
Goal Two: Our existing programs focus on home, health, equity, and opportunity for all in our mountain home. They include building deeply affordable homes with equity, community health work, fresh food access work, racial and economic equity work and creating opportunities through cultural programs, education and the arts for children and adults. We mean to grow and replicate these programs.
Goal Three: We know that policy advocacy is very powerful as we meet the people suffering on the ground and know the direct impacts of housing insecurity, food insecurity and hunger, climate change, and racism. We work with directly impacted people to tell their stories and impact change through public policy advocacy, civic engagement, and community work.
