Vision

Our mission is to provide lower-income or at-risk Pennsbury students with the opportunity to fully engage in the school community alongside their peers by ensuring they come to school secure in their housing, food and clothing and are able to participate in activities like field trips, music, sports, afterschool clubs and more. We believe this enhances their mental and physical wellbeing and therefore their chances of a successful future as confident and engaged adults.

Goals

1. 1.Moving beyond basic needs, we launched new programs to provide enriching experiences for students. Examples include, after school clubs, band and orchestra, sports, field trips, school pictures. These experiences cost money - money many of these students' families do not have. We bridge the gap so our low-income students can participate with their peers.
2. 2.We have expanded our basic needs (food, clothing, shelter) program to include the county technical high school which we did not previously cover.
3. 3.We created Start School Write to help lower income students beging the school year confidently and ready to learn. Our goal is to provide school supplies, backpacks, lunch boxes and back-to-school haircuts to as many students as possible. August 2025 was our 3rd year and we served over 500 students.
