Mission

Eliminate the suffering of homeless/community cats on Virginia’s Northern Neck through robust, lifesaving spay/neuter surgeries to reverse their endless cycle of reproduction; vaccinations to treat and prevent life threatening disease; provide urgent medical care; place in our foster program where they thrive in our 24/7 care as they await adoption.

Vision

1) Provide compassionate care (food, shelter, medical) for community cats on Virginia’s Northern Neck 2) Maintain a database of all community cats served through Garfield’s Rescue, Inc. 3) Trap, neuter, return community cats to community cat colonies receiving daily, well managed care (food, water, shelter and medical attention) 4) Place adoptable cats with well vetted families/transfer agencies/fosters pursuant to our strict protocols 5) Educate the public on reduction of community cats through robust spay/neuter/vaccination programs 6) Engage local authorities to adopt ordinances to protect community cats 7) Seek and train volunteers to protect community cats.
