TO MAINTAIN AN ACTIVE GROUP OF VOLUNTEERS TRAINED AND EQUIPPED FOR MOUNTAIN SEARCH AND RESCUE MISSIONS; TO PROMOTE SAFETY IN MOUNTAIN RECREATION AND TO ASSIST IN EMERGENCIES, SUCH AS NATURAL DISASTERS, WHERE FIRST AID AND RESCUE SERVICES ARE NEEDED.
