Food Depot

Mission

The Food Depot is a nonprofit organization that aims to make healthy food accessible to every person in every community in New Mexico. As the food bank for nine northern counties, The Food Depot provides support to nearly 40,000 New Mexicans across 26,000 square miles. Our innovative programs, resource navigation services, and political advocacy work supports individuals in achieving food security. In 2022, The Food Depot’s unique programs, along with our 75 nonprofit partners, provided an average of 700,000 meals each month to those experiencing food insecurity. You are invited to help The Food Depot foster healthy communities by donating, volunteering, or advocating on their website, thefooddepot.org. The Food Depot also operates as an equal opportunity provider.

2.Expand wraparound services so people don’t need to use emergency food assistance longterm and collaborate with community partners to develop local solutions to food insecurity.
3.Collaborate with government and community/private partners to advocate for systemic changes that help to break the cycle of long-term food insecurity.
