Love Heals exists to walk alongside individuals experiencing hardship by connecting communities, coordinating care, and covering costs.

To build a world where no one walks through hardship alone, one person at a time.

Goal One: Begin a monthly "Coffee Talk for Caregivers" where caregivers can have a community to share their struggles and everyday experiences with fellow caregivers who understand the challenges.

Goal Two: Organize worship nights at multiple churches in 2023 to raise money for more beneficiaries and increase the awareness of Love Heals in the region.

Goal Three: Raise enough monthly support to support our annual budget of $50,000. This will enable us to hire a full-time Executive Director and one other staff member as we scale the organization and its impact.

We purchased multiple books that our board members have read to improve their ability to fundraise for a nonprofit. We also spend 1.5 hours on board training and leadership development after our board meetings that occur every other month. Our Executive Director participates in many leadership conferences and meets regularly with mentors who also lead nonprofits.

Due to structural issues on the board and within the organization, Love Heals had not raised money for a beneficiary since October 2021. The organization evaluated all of its current practices and determined action steps to scale the organization and increase its impact in the future. The organization has created an Operations Budget and begun seeking monthly partners to fund that budget. This allowed the organization to hire its first employee in March 2023. Although the organization began helping people in 2018, it had relied exclusively on volunteers for its first 5 years. As a result of hiring an Executive Director, Love Heals has expanded the number of events, the number of beneficiaries, and the number of supplemental programs it is overseeing in 2023.
