The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: Objective: Scale peer-led, trauma-informed programs to meet demand by growing staff and volunteers, building partnerships with nonprofits and agencies, and strengthening evaluation systems to track outcomes such as reduced isolation, increased resilience, and leadership development—ensuring quality, reach, and measurable impact.
Goal Two: Invest in OPFOB’s capacity by strengthening financial sustainability through diversified funding, enhancing management with staff training and leadership development, and advancing technical systems for data, evaluation, and communication. These steps build resilience, improve efficiency, and ensure scalable, high-impact growth.
Goal Three: Challenge Accepted is OPFOB’s new initiative empowering veterans and first responders to overcome trauma through monthly peer-led retreats. Each retreat hosts 9–10 participants, fostering resilience, purpose, and post-traumatic growth with structured wellness goals, outdoor activities, and community support that combats isolation and builds lasting strength.
