Vision

A future where young people are met with accountability, dignity, and opportunity rather than punishment, and where schools and communities respond to harm with restorative, youth-led solutions that strengthen relationships and keep young people connected to learning and community.

Goals

1. 1.Develop and pilot new restorative, youth-led programming in response to emerging needs in Marin County schools, including increased demand for alternatives to suspension, culturally responsive conflict resolution, and leadership opportunities for youth most impacted by exclusionary discipline.
2. 2.Expand access to Youth Transforming Justice’s core restorative justice programs, including Peer Solutions, school-based restorative circles, suspension alternatives, and youth-led conflict resolution and mediation practices that build communication, accountability, and problem-solving skills, by increasing school partnerships, program capacity, and geographic reach across Marin County.
3. 3.Expand the Equity Internship Program as a core youth leadership and workforce development pathway by increasing stipended internship opportunities, deepening training in restorative justice and conflict resolution, and strengthening youth roles in facilitation, school-based programming, and community engagement.
