Vision

The HomeMore Project envisions a future where every individual in need of temporary housing is not only provided with a safe space but is also empowered with the connections, resources, and support necessary to achieve a self-sustaining life. Whether facing challenges related to mental health, addiction, or economic hardship, we are committed to serving as a catalyst for their successful transition out of homelessness.

Goals

1. 1.Deliver 3,000 Makeshift Traveler backpacks during the calendar year of 2026, across over 30 cities in California. In 2025, the organization delivered a little over 2,000 packs across 25 cities, as south as places like San Diego and San Bernardino, and as north as places like Redding and Yreka.
2. 2.Launch our Transitional Housing Program by the end of 2026 in the city of Yreka in Siskiyou County, California.
3. 3.Grow The HomeMore Project team to three full-time staff members and over 40 regularly scheduled volunteers.
