Mission

Lasagna Love is a global nonprofit and grassroots movement that aims to positively impact communities by connecting neighbors with neighbors through homemade meal delivery. Our mission is simple: feed families, spread kindness, and strengthen communities. When a person or family is struggling they can sign up, and our proprietary technology matches them with a Lasagna Love volunteer in their community who will prepare and deliver a home-cooked meal. Our aim is not only to help address the incredible rise in food insecurity among families, but also to provide an act of love and kindness. Integrated with our mission to feed families is a mission to eliminate the stigmas associated with asking for help. We challenge our volunteers to confront long-held biases around what “need” looks like, to redefine labels like “safe neighborhood”, and to uphold our value of zero-judgment even - or especially - when it may be uncomfortable. This explicit yet subtle part of our mission, reflected in our core values, helps to strengthen communities in an unexpected and lasting way.
