The purpose for which the corporation is organized is to promote interest in and systematic research of the history, society, politics, culture and economic subsets of the ethno-religious group of French Protestant refugees who settled at Manakintown in the British Colony of Virginia prior to 1786 that share common racial characteristics, traits, and customs; to collect, preserve and curate the artifacts, documents, objects, books, and materials having historical or commemorative value; to support educational activities on issues related to the life and work of the Manakin French Protestants and their descendants; to sponsor Huguenot related memorials, papers, and essays for historical preservation and education to the public. The Corporation may engage in any and all charitable, educational, and benevolent activities permitted to an organization exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Code.

Florida Branch Manakin Huguenot Society cannot be rated because Charity Navigator does not evaluate private foundations.
To receive a star rating, a charity must be a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) public charity. Private foundations, consolidated subsidiaries, and organizations with revoked or inactive IRS status are not eligible for a rating.
Eligible charities must also meet the following criteria:
A nonprofit may be listed but not rated if it does not yet meet Form 990 filing requirements, is newly registered, files only Form 990-EZ or 990-N, or is otherwise ineligible for a star rating.
