Ratings are calculated from one or more beacon scores. Currently, we require either an Accountability & Finance beacon or an Impact & Results beacon to be eligible for a Charity Navigator rating. Note: The absence of a rating does not indicate a positive or negative assessment; it only indicates that we have not yet evaluated this organization.
See rating report below to learn why this organization is not currently eligible.
We recognize that not all metrics and beacons equally predict a charity’s success. The percentage each beacon contributes to the organization’s overall rating depends on the number of beacons an organization has earned.
Use the tool below to select different beacons to see how the weighting shifts when only one, two, or three beacons are earned.
Charity Navigator's ratings previously did not consider Leadership & Adaptability, Culture & Community, or Impact & Results. The historic rating mainly reflects a version of today’s Accountability and Finance score. More information on our previous rating methodologies can be found on our rating methodology page.
Rating histories are available for a growing number of rated organizations. Check back later to see if this organization has a rating history!

What are this organization’s external mobilizaton efforts?
Our executive director, Steve Lavey, has joined the Board of GlobalWaterWorks, which is a non-profit water sector organization dedicated to helping global water work for the planet and people. GlobalWaterWorks' mission is to spur innovation and technology adoption by showcasing the leaders, researchers and innovative technologies that are already at work making water work. They build on the work being done in industry, academia and more than 3000 water organizations, providing industry-focused case studies, roadmaps and ROI examples to business leaders, educators, investors and policy makers through FREE virtual summits and social media channels.
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year.
COVID-19 has brought more attention to the urgency of safe water access — and not just because clean water is the first line of defense against the virus’s spread. The pandemic has also exposed a lack of critical investment in global water infrastructure that needs to be addressed with long-term, sustainable initiatives. With COVID-19 directly threatening the health of those most in need; direct, timely interventions are key. Yet it is important to remember that water is a local issue; therefore, a solution that works for a rural family in India may not translate to a solution for an urban family in Brazil. To make sustained progress toward SDG 6, interventions must be tailored to the needs of individual communities, and scaled for impact. We have adapted by partnering with a water filter manufacturing firm that has developed a patent-pending solutions that was built specifically for the needs of the families and conditions in the developing world. This allows us to get clean water to families very quickly and at the family level.
