We are better organized because of the values that we all have for helping to improve the lives of someone else. The ability to connect via web conferencing has enabled our organization to connect with clients who are not yet ready to socialize in small groups again. The power of being able to share our own struggles with maintaining mental wellbeing amongst ourselves also enabled us to connect with clients facing similar challenges. For example, when many stores were out of stock of basic items, we shared similar substitutes that we were using without shame or judgement and it validated the reality of the shared experience. We are all in the same storm, but we may have different tools. Giving up is not an option and COAP has been helping it's Board Members and clients to cope!
