Vision

Over the next three to five years, Fundamental Needs intends to restore the water gap in Rock Point, Red Mesa, Sweetwater, and Mexican Water, AZ, and Farmington and Shiprock, NM, on the Navajo Reservation, pilot an entrepreneurship program in rural Colorado, adapt the six completed Oasis projects into the entrepreneurship program, expand our water project operations to 12-15 additional communities, and expand the rural entrepreneurship program to 6-10 additional communities.

Goals

1. 1.Close the water gap on the Navajo Reservation via our after-school work program (the Oasis project), where we teach/train/hire high school students how to build and install off-grid water systems in their own communities. - Complete the current six communities in the next one to two years. - Expand to 12-15 additional communities in the next 3-5 years
2. 2.Expand the Entrepreneurship program to other schools in southwest Colorado and adapt the six completed Oais projects on the Navajo Reservation into the piloted and tested entrepreneurship program. - Assist students in starting a business that creates lasting change for their communities on the Navajo Reservation. - Provide startup funding for students to pilot and launch social good businesses.
3. 3.Expand the current entrepreneurship project to include workforce development, a makerspace, adult educational business opportunities, and networking events in the Four Corners region.
