American Songbirds 2024 most significant activities were: 1. Continuing research on endangered songbirds in the Southwest by partnering with Ventura Audubon Society on the 5th year of a 2020 - 2024 National Fish & Wildlife Foundation Grant in CA: funding 2024 Contractor to remove non-native parasitic brown-headed cowbirds in Santa Barbara County. 2. Protection of native songbird habitat including continued acquisitions of bird sanctuaries in MI focusing on the most threatened coastal areas watershed parcels wildlife corridors and parcels contiguous to current sanctuaries.
