Mission

Founded in 1974, Rainbow Acres is a Christian community with heart that empowers persons with developmental disabilities to live to their fullest potential with dignity and purpose. Rainbow Acres serves adults with a wide range of developmental disabilities that include Autism, Down Syndrome, Asperger Syndrome and Developmental Delay from various causes. Rainbow Acres is a ranch-style community nestled in the high desert landscape of Arizona's beautiful Verde Valley. Facilities include modern housing with private rooms for Ranchers and the new Palmer Community Center that features state-of-the-art dining and entertainment facilities, as well as a fitness center and classroom space for ranch music programs. Core programs address the immediate and long-term needs of the Ranchers in vital developmental areas: cognitive, vocational, physical/health, spiritual and social. Our professional educators and staff members are passionate about helping Ranchers develop to their fullest potential.
