At Childsplay, we have been inspiring young minds and transforming lives through the power of theatre since our founding in 1977. We believe deeply in the transformative power of theatre and are committed to ensuring its vitality for future audiences and playwrights . We have redefined what children’s theatre can achieve, driven by our belief that young people deserve challenging, thought-provoking theatre of the highest artistic quality.

Goals

1. 1.Childsplay will prioritize investment in its core mission-driven programs, including mainstage productions, statewide educational touring, and drama-based learning initiatives, while evaluating and scaling back programs that are not financially sustainable or closely aligned with organizational goals, audience impact, and long-term strategic growth.
2. 2.Childsplay will strengthen organizational capacity by investing in financial sustainability, staff development, fundraising infrastructure, marketing, technology, and operational systems to better support long-term growth, improve efficiency, expand community impact, and ensure the continued delivery of high-quality theatre and arts education programs across Arizona.
3. 3.Childsplay will expand access to its existing theatre and educational programs by increasing outreach to Title I schools, rural communities, and underserved families, while growing statewide touring, educational partnerships, accessibility initiatives, and community engagement opportunities to reach more children, students, educators, and families across Arizona.
