Mission

Founded in 1981, the mission of the Chrysalis Shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence is to lead our community to broad-based solutions to prevent domestic abuse. For over 42 years, Chrysalis has been servicing the needs of women, children and men throughout the Valley with a wide array of comprehensive services to help break the cycle of violence and abuse.

Vision

Stop terror in the home by helping individuals and families break free of relationships riddled with fear and violence, and discover confidence, resilience and hope.

Goals

1.Provide safe shelter, basic needs, case management, client advocacy and support groups for topics such as parenting, substance use, and life skills, and any necessary outside referrals.
2.Provide a comprehensive array of Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) services for individuals and families impacted by domestic abuse.
3.Offer transitional housing along with services geared towards employment, educational training and independent living to serve as a bridge to self-sufficiency
