Vatican Observatory Foundation

Mission

The Vatican Observatory Foundation contributes exclusively to support the scientific research of the Vatican Observatory and engaging the public in the knowledge derived from that research. To that end it raises funds to support the Observatory’s scientific equipment, maintains its scientific research groups, and organizes scholarly meetings.

Vision

The Vatican Observatory Foundation seeks to grow and expand the research of the Vatican Observatory, and share the Observatory's research and mission with Catholics and anyone with a love of astronomy in the United States and around the world.

Goals

1.We have initiated a process of self-examination and renewal on a number of fronts.
2.We want to continue to share the work of the Observatory.
3.We will pursue new, relevant communications avenues.
