Adaptability Practices
30 out of 30 points
The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year
During these tumultuous times, we have all seen countless examples of people helping one another. That ethos inspired us to found Safety Saints in 2021. The inequalities in access to health and safety training became too obvious to ignore. We want to make certain that more lay first responders can provide aid safely and effectively.
Our management team has decades of experience providing training nationally to individuals, organizations, restaurants, hotels, and other businesses. We are keenly aware of the ways that traditional training models are leaving people behind. While the Red Cross, American Heart Association, and countless for-profit businesses provide similar training, no one is addressing the most common barriers encountered by people and institutions in under-resourced communities quite like Safety Saints. Class location, duration, content delivery strategy, and price are often mismatched to the needs of many communities. To fix that Safety Saints has adapted this training model and works in partnership with our community partners to ensure that their unique needs and circumstances are met. We also provide additional services, such as training trainers, providing emergency and disaster preparedness assessments, and free or discounted safety equipment and supplies, so that our qualifying community partners receive comprehensive support.
