Mission

THE MISSION AND PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF CONCUSSION-RELATED TRAUMA, HOW IT AFFECTS OUR KID'S MENTAL HEALTH, AND IMPROVE LONG-TERM CONCUSSION MANAGMENT. OUR ORGANIZATION STRIVES TO SERVE AS A SOURCE OF INFORMATION, RESOURCES, AND COMMUNICATIONS TO THE COMMUNITY OF PARENTS, COACHES, SPORTS TRAINERS, AND MEDICAL STAFF TO ENSURE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT OF PLAY FOR YOUNG ATHLETES.

Vision

To increase awareness of the risks of allowing kids to play contact sports while their brains are developing and how the subsequent damage to their brain affects their mental health. Ultimately, our vision is to provide kids a safe environment where they can play sports without incurring brain injuries that lead to mental health problems or suicide.

Goals

1.Help conduct research projects to develop protocols for diagnosing TES and studies around early identification/intervention of adolescents with mental illness and brain studies.
2.Create greater awareness around sub-concussive trauma and repeated head injuries and how these injuries impact our children; ways to help institute preventative measures and limit overexposure.
3.Drive legislation that provides a safe environment of play for child athletes by instituting tiered levels of play to decrease full contact before the age of 14.
