    Nonprofit Leadership training classes were through Non-profit Ready. The training included Raise more funding, which taught how to send out fundraising letters, launch a crowdfunding campaign and steps on hosting a fund-raising event. How to determine invisible disabilities which explains disabilities are physical, mental and neurological condition that is not visible from the outside, yet can challenge a person’s movements, senses, or activities. How to be a great mentor explains a mentor makes enormous waves with limited resources. They step up in times of crisis and know how to discern people with the same passion. Also, an influential leader listens and makes the right decision. Challenges in the workplace training dove into details on how to handle aggressiveness, the underlying issue behind the need for approval, why getting to the root of behaviors is key to addressing them head on and practical ways to show compassion while helping others become more self-aware.

    The nonprofit has an opportunity to tell the story of how the organization adapted to tremendous external changes in the last year
    The pandemic has produced a prolonged time of struggle and considerably of an adversity for Silent Rescue this past year our so. This experience is disturbing and disruptive, but it also represented influential opportunities for reflection, discovery, and even reinvention. When the lockdown took place, the first month played to our strengths. The board members band together to come up with unique approaches to extend our mission. Together, we collaborated new rules for our brothers and sisters. At first, the pandemic was eerily like the old western movies with the ball of weeds tumbling in the atmosphere. It was a ghost town, but we already knew how to get through the trenches to find the hidden pieces. Contributions were down over 50% so we developed into master creators. We used mostly our own funds, reaching out to family and acquaintances to help fill the void. Also, we baked, fried and slow cooked much of our offerings from scratch. We hand made affirmation cards, and miraculously stuffed our blessing bags just as full as before. Where there is a passion for the people, the people arise to meet the challenge. You name it; we came up with it, for transportation, essentials, face masks and the likes. There were so many homeless individuals not aware of this horrible time in history. We were glad to fill them in on the does and don’ts and to get them to safety if they chose to do so. The most powerful message for our brand is we did not give up when the journey got hard. Silent rescue proved to be mission focused.
