Vision

We envision a Western Montana where every child has the opportunity to realize their unique potential, break free from intergenerational cycles of poverty and trauma, and grow into confident, resilient leaders who create brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Goals

1. 1.The need to expand our services is great. Montana children have the second highest state for adverse childhood experiences in the country. The state has high rates of children in foster care, referrals for child abuse and neglect are higher than the US average, and one in six children in the state experience food insecurity.
2. 2.We created the Flathead Nation program to address the unique challenges faced by Indigenous youth on the Flathead Reservation, including high rates of poverty and adverse childhood experiences. Our culturally responsive program connects youth to traditions, language, and practices, fostering identity and resilience while providing long-term, trauma-informed mentorship.
3. 3.Our new behavioral health program addresses the urgent need for mental health support among the youth and families we serve, many of whom face significant trauma and systemic barriers to care. By partnering with local providers, we offer on-site, trauma-informed therapeutic services to help youth develop coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and build resilience for brighter futures.
