Mission

SOSA (Safe from Online Sex Abuse) is a nonprofit that combats online child sex abuse and trafficking through undercover operations with law enforcement, advocacy, and education. We partner directly with ICAC (internet crimes against children) detectives and prosecutors to maintain our efficacy and conviction rate. Our work also includes raising awareness about abuse tactics, training law enforcement, advising on safer legislation, and supporting survivors by connecting them with essential resources.

Vision

We hope for a world where all children, tweens, and teens are safe online from sexual abuse

Goals

1.Educate: SOSA partners with schools, posts on social media, and is creating resources for victims and families to raise awareness around the pervasiveness of online child sex abuse and exploitation.
2.Protect: SOSA partners with law enforcement to identify online offenders. Our team does this by studying the language and methods offenders use to entice and manipulate minors. We also have attended ICAC conferences to gain new partnerships with law enforcement.
3.Support: We have been able to support victims of online sex abuse, and provide resources for children, tweens, teens and their caregivers to help them navigate online challenges and support victims.
