Mission

The Friends’ mission is to empower child victims of crime and their families to transform trauma into resilience. The Friends fundraise to support the Children’s Justice Center program, ensuring children can safely tell their stories, seek justice, and find hope and healing through comprehensive wraparound services. We believe every child deserves to thrive. We are building opportunities for children who have survived abuse to rediscover childhood wonder through community partnerships and alternative therapies. Your contributions help a child in our community "Rise to Thrive." Our purpose is to support the recovery of child abuse victims to turn trauma into resilience, fuel public awareness campaigns, provide resources, and create sustainable programs. Together, we can transform lives and foster a healthier generation tomorrow. Every child under the age of 18 who visits a Children’s Justice Center has an opportunity to tell their story in a safe environment. The Friends nonprofit supports the journey of children and families that need the CJC’s services.
