Vision

Meals in the Meantime envisions a community where every person has reliable access to fresh, healthy, high-quality food and where food insecurity is replaced with dignity, nourishment, and hope. We aspire to create a future in which our pop-up pantries are no longer needed because every household in Chicagoland’s south suburbs has the resources and support they need to thrive.

Goals

1. 1.We will improve operational efficiency by investing in technology that replaces manual spreadsheets, reduces redundancy, and unifies our current systems. These improvements strengthen our capacity to deliver pop-up pantries that provide fresh, high-quality food with dignity.
2. 2.We will expand and strengthen our recurring gift-giving campaigns to support more consistent monthly pantries. This sustainable funding model ensures we can continue bridging the food gap with reliable access to fresh, healthy, high-quality food.
3. 3.We will increase the number of grocery bags and the quantity of healthy food offered at each pantry. By expanding what we provide, we can reach more individuals and families who need nourishment and help reduce food insecurity in the south suburbs.
