Yoga's Arc Foundation
Mission
Yoga's Arc was born out of a passion for outreach. After practicing yoga for the last 25+ years, Kary began wondering how we could bring yoga to those who need it most- the overworked, the unable, and the under-served. To reach these people, convenience was the name of the game. The movement had to be fueled by flexibility and a willingness to join people in every step of the journey. So we thought outside the four walls of our studio and created Yoga's Arc. We bring yoga to everyone, anywhere, anytime. Today, we're even more energized to keep changing the mindset of what yoga can look like. To us, yoga looks like coworkers sharing in morning rejuvenation. Yoga looks like a healing breakthrough for a stroke survivor in her own living room. Yoga looks like serving recovery groups at the local hospital or teachers at the local school. Yoga looks exactly how you envision it. With more than 80+ instructors across the Valley, we're growing fast, and we're excited to meet people wherever they are in their yoga journey.
Vision
Everyone has a right to feel their best in mind and body. Yoga isn’t about self-improvement, it’s about self-love. As a team of certified instructors, we believe it is our responsibility to share the love and power of the practice by bringing unique classes to you. We teach to stretch minds and we teach to stretch bodies. This is yoga on your terms. This is Yoga’s Arc.
Goals
- 1.We will enhance our extensive teacher training programs, adapting curricula to meet the evolving needs of the communities we serve. By investing in the professional development of our instructors, we ensure they possess the specialized expertise required for high-impact environments. This capacity building guarantees that our "mobile" force remains the gold standard in trauma-informed yoga.
- 2.Scale our presence in correctional facilities to meet high demand. We aim to increase our impact at Perryville Women's Prison from bi-weekly to weekly sessions and transition Pinal County Adolescent Detention from monthly to weekly classes. Increasing frequency provides the consistency necessary for genuine rehabilitation, ensuring these underserved populations have regular, reliable access.
- 3.We are doubling down on our core mission: providing elite, paid yoga instruction to those with the least access. By focusing on our high-impact partnerships with detention facilities, we ensure our resources are directed toward the most transformative settings. This focus allows us to maintain our $25 community fee model while fully compensating our teachers for their specialized expertise.
