Vision

We are here to break the silence, to be a resource and to support cultural change in mental health. It’s our goal to support people’s mental health journey from childhood to adult and to create a more joyful and loving place. The Big Silence is a leader in helping people to know they are not alone and know that it is okay to ask for help. We lead with resilience and empathy and seek to create a cultural change where mental health is taken care of just like physical health. We are opening up conversations and breaking the silence so we can all thrive together. We envision a world where every person can access mental health tools, resources, and care without being limited by stigma or other barriers.

Goals

1. 1.It is our goal to provide a stigma-free zone where people feel safe to reach out and find help through our mental health resources. Programs and initiatives respond to community issues and concerns around mental health by providing access to therapy, expert advice, mental health resources, mental health tools and guidance through our events, podcast, social media, and our website.
2. 2.It is our goal to reach people in mental health deserts and offer hope and inspiration through a supportive community that helps them to know that they are not alone. By providing therapy services and promoting conversations that help to explain and support therapy, we encourage people to know that it is not a sign of weakness to ask for help.
