Vision

We envision a vibrant, decentralized arts ecosystem where artists—particularly those most marginalized—are resourced, valued, and fully supported. In this future, we earn living wages, access robust healthcare, and have the tools to live healthy, fulfilling lives without sacrificing their integrity or labor to exploitative systems. From the grassroots up, Grimalkin builds collective power, transforming mainstream systems of artist extraction into a practice of care, freedom, and shared liberation.

Goals

1. 1.Build capacity and networks to advance collaborative solidarity by creating a strong network of international queer and trans artists which build and bridge connections across our community and into other communities.
2. 2.Develop artist-centered alternatives to the traditionally exploitive, top-down approach of the music industry at large to better serve the needs of DIY marginalized artists and to redistribute wealth and resources back to our artists and communities.
3. 3.Develop artist-centered workshops and learning opportunities to help folks foster the skillsets they want and need for their self-determined, personal and professional success.
