Vision

PVA adds a class level each year with long term plans for the school to offer High School. Now we offer 8 levels--three pre-school and grade levels 1 thru 5. A major challenge is Malnutrition--1/3rd of our students have BMIs readings indicative of wasting & stunted growth with only 5 having healthy BMIs--the rest are underweight and if not fed will experience the wasting/stunted growth. We now have a 200 student dorm so with enough donors we can keep the students and feed them properly. One day we expect that the students will earn college degrees and return to the area to help thier families escape poverty!

Goals

1. 1.Increase $80/month donors to fill the student dorm. There the students drink clean water, & eat nutirtional food so they grow. The girls experience 58% FGM & 52% teen pregnancies. With education the boys will learn to properly treat the girls & the girls will gain skills to provide for themselves to escape poverty. PVA is in the top 10% of all rural schools in TZ so the students are learning.
2. 2.With more financial resources, we provide more care for the children, incl. medical care & proper nutrition. We have a 7,000 book library & computer lab but need to expand our internet so we can use the computer lab to teach the parents & open thier world. The teachers in TZ are in need of new teaching methods so we want USA educators to come to help the teachers advance thier teaching skills.
3. 3.The life expectancy in the area of the school is 44 years for women and 42 for men--this is partially caused by the horrible water they get from the 2 surface lakes--Turbidity from these lakes are 80+ and 120+, so they are almost drinking mud! We want to also improve there nutirtion by teaching them to grow healthy food and to consume it.
