Movement is Life Inc.
Mission
Movement Is Life Inc seeks to eliminate racial, ethnic, and gender disparities through community-based programs, clinician education, and health policy advocacy.
Vision
Be a catalyst for change by driving actionable, short-term plans that address musculoskeletal disparities. We aim to make an immediate impact while fostering long-term solutions. Raising Awareness: Promote awareness and functional solutions to tackle limited mobility and reduce disparities. Strategizing with Stakeholders: Partner with healthcare providers and community leaders to address disproportionate joint pain rates among women, African Americans, Hispanics, and rural communities. Implementing Initiatives: Launch community-based programs focusing on arthritis and related conditions causing immobility. Advocating for Equity: Push for systemic changes to reduce musculoskeletal health disparities and improve access to care. Educating for Better Health: Empower patients through education on the importance of physical activity for better joint health and overall well-being.
Goals
- 1.Expand Operation Change to additional underserved communities, increasing access to our 18-week program that empowers women to manage chronic conditions, improve mobility, and enhance quality of life. This includes launching new sites in areas with high health disparities, enhancing program resources, and reaching more African American, Hispanic/Latina, and rural women nationwide.
- 2.Develop new community-based health equity workshops addressing emerging needs, such as mental health support and access to telehealth services, tailored for underserved women. These programs will complement Operation Change by providing additional resources to manage chronic conditions, reduce barriers to care, and address the social determinants of health in underserved communities.
- 3.This goal reinforces our dedication to advocating for health equity by addressing systemic disparities. Through policy initiatives, community engagement, and partnerships, we aim to influence healthcare policies, increase access to care, and empower underserved women with tools to improve their health and well-being, fostering lasting change
