Mission

Our mission is to unite communities to improve lives. Our vision is to create opportunities for children, families, and individuals to realize their full potential. UWNNS is a "Collective Impact" organization committed to listening to our northern Nevada community. We believe that it takes the entire community to make change happen, and when we come together to put our resources to work, we can solve our most pressing issues and create opportunities for a better life for all.

Goals

1.We convene and lead our community to solve its most pressing issues. With our partners, we launched the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to deliver 1 Million books to children.
2.The United Readers program provides free Phonemic Awareness Interventions for children who are most behind. Reading scores increased by at least one level for over 70% of children in the program.
3.We provide D.E.I. training and support to organizations in our community at no cost. This support goes well beyond a single training to an ongoing effort to help them in their own efforts year-long.
