Vision

Project Big Wood is organized to improve the environmental health and ecology of the Big Wood River Basin in Central Idaho by protecting, enhancing, sustaining, and reconnecting the Big Wood River, its tributaries and its watershed.

Goals

1. 1.Project Big Wood aims to adapt to the community's needs through data collection, education, advocacy, and earthwork programs that provide meaningful opportunities, resources and education to promote the sustainability of the Big Wood River and its management practices.
2. 2.Investing in the capacity of Project Big Wood directly connects to our fundraising and marketing efforts. We aim to secure financial resources through private donations to build a sustainable and well-equipped organization. By increasing funding, we can enhance management, expand technical capabilities, and improve operational efficiency, ensuring we can continue serving the community effectively.
3. 3.Project Big Wood aims to become the most impactful conservation organization in the Wood River Valley and foster ownership and pride in the Big Wood River by collaborating with diverse communities including school programs, businesses, and government agencies.
