Friends of Malibu Urgent Care Center
Mission
Our mission is to ensure the health and well-being of Malibu's residents, visitors and first responders by supporting high-quality, accessible care via extended-hours of urgent care services. We fund critical medical equipment and support community health initiatives and innovative partnerships that address urgent health needs (we include first responders in our mission because, as seen during the recent Franklin and Palisades fires, they have become a critical population we serve during the frequent disasters, such as wildfires, that impact Malibu)
Vision
Friends of Malibu Urgent Care envisions supporting a state-of-the-art urgent care facility equipped with advanced imaging capabilities, providing unparalleled access to critical diagnostic tools for Malibu’s residents, visitors and first responders. By investing in innovative infrastructure, we aspire to create a lasting legacy of compassionate, accessible, and comprehensive urgent care that strengthens the health and resilience of our community for generations to come
Goals
- 1.Support the construction of a state-of-the-art urgent care facility: is vital to meet Malibu's growing healthcare needs. During recent fires, it was the only medical facility open to treat those trapped due to road closures and fire. This facility will enhance emergency outcomes, serve as a lifeline during disasters.
- 2.Access to advanced imaging tools like MRI and CT: is vital. These technologies enable timely, life-saving diagnoses, eliminating delays caused by travel. By funding this equipment we are ensuring urgent care for residents, visitors, and first responders during emergencies and beyond.
- 3.Strengthening community resilience: ensures Malibu residents and first responders have access to care during wildfires and other disasters. Supporting Malibu Urgent Care provides tools, extended hours, and preparedness initiatives, reinforcing its role as a hub for disaster readiness. Through education and partnerships, we enhance the community’s ability to withstand and recover from emergencies.
