Mission

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County's (VHOCC) Mission: Building on more than four decades of hospice experience and generous community support, VHOCC provides industry standard hospice care at no cost to the patient or to government programs. Our services include professional 24-7 nursing availability, grief support, medical equipment lending, and education. VHOCC services include: nursing care, hospice aide care, an extensive grief and bereavement program, a lending closet for medical equipment, informative programs, and educational events.

To remain a unicorn in providing free patient and family-centered end-of-life care while remaining independent (no billing of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, or anyone!)

Goals

1.Grow funds-acting-as-endowment to levels where principal is not impacted by annual budget shortfalls.
2.Improve patient care by identifying & executing on opportunities to increase caregiving support for patients/families during the end-of-life journey.
3.Increase staff expertise through training, insuring that at least 50% of the clinical team is HPNA certified.
