Friends of the San Juans’ mission is to bring people and nature together to protect the San Juan Islands and the Salish Sea through education, science, policy, and law.

Vision

We envision a future where the San Juan Islands and the Salish Sea thrive as a sanctuary of biodiversity and sustainability. This future is shaped by a community deeply connected to—and actively protecting—this special place.

Goals

1.Building a strong foundational future through organizational resilience through succession and legacy plans, increased reserves, streamlining programs, and increasing membership.
2.Mobilize the community to protect land and sea and build resilience through education, science, policy, and law.
3.Deepening and growing relationships across sectors and government prioritizing sovereign nations.
