Alliance for Education

Mission

The Alliance for Education is an independent, local education fund that works in partnership with Seattle Public Schools since 1995 to address big challenges facing Seattle students and schools. We develop, invest, and partner in programs that advance educational justice and increase racial equity for students in the Seattle Public School District. Our work is designed to challenge systemic inequities in public schools and create a more equitable and just education system that allows all Seattle students to thrive. Our Vision is a deeply invested community that collectively ensures all students in Seattle Public Schools experience a sense of belonging, receive an excellent and equitable education, and reach their fullest potential.

Goals

1.Our strategic plan focuses on raising dollars; identifying and convening stakeholders; identifying, creating and support programs and initiatives; and storytelling that inspires action.
2.Additional resources and capacity has been built and continues to be strengthened surrounding community engagement, communications, and diversity equity and inclusion.
