Mamas Hands
Mission
At Mama’s Hands, our mission is to provide a safe, family-centered home for at-risk mothers and children fleeing crisis situations like poverty, domestic violence, and trafficking. We offer them the resources, support, and structured environment they need to regain stability, build self-esteem, and develop the skills necessary to become self-reliant. Through personalized care and empowerment, we help families heal from trauma, set personal goals, and find the motivation and strength to create a better future for themselves and their children.
Vision
At Mama’s Hands, our vision is to create a future where every at-risk mother and child has the opportunity to escape homelessness and build a stable, self-sufficient life. We envision a community where the cycles of poverty, domestic violence, and trafficking are broken, and families are empowered with the resources, skills, and support they need to thrive. With a proven 94% success rate of mothers successfully graduating from our structured program, our goal is to continue offering life-changing services that address the root causes of homelessness and instability. We are dedicated to expanding our impact, bringing hope to even more families, and ensuring that no mother or child is left behind in their journey toward a better future.
Goals
- 1.Mama’s Hands will increase shelter capacity to serve more families and expand its Aftercare program to provide continued support after shelter exit. These efforts will broaden access to essential services, strengthen housing stability, and support long-term independence for families overcoming homelessness.
- 2.Mama’s Hands will expand and strengthen its core program by providing consistent, trauma-informed life-building skills for families in shelter and through aftercare. This includes financial literacy, parenting support, employment readiness, and housing stability to promote long-term independence and prevent returns to homelessness.
- 3.Mamma’s Hands will invest in organizational capacity by developing and maintaining up-to-date financial, management, and technical systems. Strengthening internal processes will improve accountability, efficiency, and data tracking, ensuring sustainable growth and effective delivery of services to families.
