Vision

Our vision is for all pets to live healthy lives, in loving homes.

Goals

1. 1.Expand WCGHS’s surgery program to provide timely, consistent spay/neuter services. With key veterinary staff, we can run two surgery days per week, increasing capacity and scheduling flexibility, maintaining our standards of care, reducing reliance on outside providers, and shortening animals’ length of stay so they can be adopted into homes sooner.
2. 2.Secure a permanent location for WCGHS’s surgery program, creating long-term stability for this essential service. A dedicated clinic will reduce reliance on temporary or partner facilities, protect the program from future disruptions, and ensure consistent access to veterinary care for animals in our care.
3. 3.Renovate WCGHS’s dog shelter grounds to create a safe, sanitary, year-round space for exercise, training, and enrichment. Improved drainage and dog turf will address seasonal mud and flooding, improve sanitation, reduce facility flooding, and give dogs consistent access to activity and enrichment that supports their physical and behavioral health.
