Mission

The mission of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) is to provide support, services and education to individuals, families and caregivers affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias nationwide, and fund research for better treatment and a cure.

Goals

1.Enhance and expand innovative programs and services nationwide. This is essential as the number of families affected by Alzheimer's disease in the United States continues to grow.
2.Expand research funding to help find a cure/disease-modifying treatment for Alzheimer's-America's sixth leading cause of death & the only one in the top 10 without a cure/disease-modifying treatment.
3.Build capacity to support sustainability and future growth. Continued to expand programs and services. AFA's Helpline has been expanded to seven (7) days a week, 9:00am to 9:00pm (EST,).
